Iβm a fourth-generation Swedish artist raised in the American South, now based in Lisbon. I work primarily in acrylic, watercolor and photography, celebrating color, emotion, and the female form. My inspiration comes from my fatherβs vibrant art collection, my travels, and my own journey through sobriety and healing.
I am a lifelong artist with roots in the American South and Scandinavia. Raised by a designer mother and an art-collecting father, I was surrounded early by bold, female-driven work that sparked my creative fire. Art has never been separate from meβit has been an instinct, a refuge, a language I spoke before I knew how to name it.
My work is a celebration of color, emotion, and the female form. I specialize in watercolor and acrylicβformally trained under the brilliant Jill Saur in watercolor, and self-taught in acrylic with a wild heart and an open mind. I also explore other mediums like photography, always chasing new ways to express the inexpressible.
In 2020, I got sober. That decision reshaped my life and deepened my creative practice. Iβm a passionate advocate for sobriety, especially in the face of the opioid crisis that has touched so many. Healingβthrough art, through honesty, through connectionβis at the center of everything I do.
In 2023, I moved to Portugal, and Lisbon quickly became one of my greatest muses. Iβm endlessly inspired by the energy of cities like Lisbon, Miami, and Rioβplaces pulsing with rhythm, color, and soul. Travel continues to feed my creativity and keep my perspective wide.
As a survivor of sexual violence, I believe deeply in the power of womenβs voices, agency, and stories. Art has always been my way of reclaiming spaceβof finding joy, power, and peace on my own terms.
At the end of the day, Iβm most myself when Iβm creating.
